Dubuque City Council Returns to In-Person Meetings

The Dubuque City Council returned to in-person meetings beginning with the Tuesday, July 6, City Council meeting. Virtual/remote participation will remain an option. The city council will meet in the City Council Chambers, located on the second floor of the Historic Federal Building at 350 W. 6th Street. Members of the public may view and participate in the meeting in the City Council Chambers or participate virtually. To comply with social distancing guidelines, capacity limits are in place in the City Council Chambers and will require specific guidelines if maximum capacity is reached. Anyone attending the meeting in-person should review guidelines at the entrance to the chambers and abide by any directions given by City staff. Masks are not required to attend the meeting, but masks will be available at the entrance for anyone who would prefer one and are encouraged for those who are not vaccinated.

Virtual meeting participation options will continue to be provided via the GoToMeeting platform, which offers meeting access by internet or phone. Members of the public may continue providing public input through the GoToMeeting chat function, speaking over the phone, or emailing the city clerk at ctyclerk@cityofdubuque.org. Please reference the first page of the city council meeting agenda (cityofdubuque.org/agendas) for login information for the meeting.

It is strongly recommended that all members of the public who intend to provide in-person or virtual public input contact the city clerk at least 24 hours prior to the meeting to provide notice of intent to provide public input. This will help City staff anticipate participation levels at the meeting. For more information, please contact the city clerk at ctyclerk@cityofdubuque.org or 563-589-4100.

City council meetings will continue to be aired live on CityChannel Dubuque (Mediacom cable channels 8 and 117.2), streamed live and archived on the City’s website at cityofdubuque.org/media, and streamed live on the City’s Facebook page at facebook.com/cityofdubuque.
