Just over one year ago, Crescent Community Health Center moved into their new state-of-the-art clinic and have already begun to outgrow the space due to increased demand in their services. In late 2020, they expanded to the second floor of their building, moving the entire Brain Health Clinic to a newly renovated space.
The expanded Brain Health Clinic now has five providers and is anticipated to see 5,900 clinic visits in 2021. Additionally, Crescent has begun construction on a new Crescent QuickCare Clinic on the first floor, which will open in April 2021.
The Envision Mental Health Endowment Fund has awarded Crescent a grant in the amount of $2,240 to assist patients with mental health and substance use disorders. These funds can be used for co-payments, medication cost, and transportation. Crescent is very grateful to be able to have these funds to assist with this vulnerable population.
Crescent has worked in collaboration with the University of Oklahoma to receive grant funding in the amount of $35,000 for the Dubuque Pacific Islander Health Project (DPIHP). These funds will be used to hire a part-time community health worker to assist with interpreting/translation and Medicaid applications.
Crescent looks forward to sharing 2020 data in their upcoming annual report. It was a record-breaking year in many respects and Crescent looks forward to continuing to provide excellent care to their patients in the coming year.
