Dubuque’s Kendall Hunt, an independent educational publishing house, stands at the forefront of educational resources, offering a wide variety of both print and online educational products and services for K-12 and higher education, as well as religious education material under their RCL Benziger brand.

The local company traces its founding back to 1944 when William C. Brown acquired the rights to twenty-six educational publications. By 1992, Brown’s company had become known as WCB Communications, Inc. and was sold to the Times-Mirror Corporation. Two years later in 1994, Kendall Hunt Publishing Company, the only remaining part of Brown’s original company, became a stand-alone business. Today, the company produces made-to-order texts, digital products, and helpful online events.

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues into the beginning of a new school year, Kendall Hunt stands ready to offer students of all ages extensive online learning resources with 24/7 digital learning access.
