Steeple Square welcomes new board member, Dr. Wendy Mihm-Herold, to the board of directors. Dr. Wendy Mihm-Herold has served as vice president for business and community solutions for Northeast Iowa Community College since July, 2010.
She is an executive officer with over 28 years of experience in public and private nonprofit sectors with extensive experience in fundraising, grant writing and grant administration, legislative advocacy for policy and funding at the local, state, and federal levels, and building innovative partnerships and public relations. She is also a leader in establishing partnerships with employers, economic development organizations, chambers, and community groups. She was instrumental in starting ten business community sector boards that generate ideas to address how businesses, educators and economic development can partner to build human capital skills.
Dr. Mihm-Herold received her bachelor’s degree in family services from Iowa State University, her master’s degree in rehabilitation administration from Drake University, and her Ph.D. in educational leadership, higher education administration from Iowa State University.
