Enhance Iowa – Community Attraction and Tourism (CAT) Program: The Community Attraction and Tourism (CAT) program assists communities in the development and creation of multiple purpose attraction or tourism facilities. Projects must be available to the general public for public use and be primarily vertical infrastructure. CAT applicants must document 65% of the project costs have been raised through donations or pledges to be eligible to submit an application. Additionally, a loan and/or financing cannot be used to help reach the 65% fundraising threshold. Due date is May 15.
McDonough Foundation: The mission of the McDonough Foundation is to promote charitable, educational and health related activities and opportunities to children and families in Eastern Iowa. The Foundation offers support to local non-profit organizations that provide educational opportunities, human and social services, and health care for children and their families. Due date is May 30.
Cliff Bar Family Foundation: Priority is given to applicants that: address our funding priorities from a holistic perspective: protect Earth’s beauty and bounty; create a robust, healthy food system; increase opportunities for outdoor activity; reduce environmental health hazards; build stronger communities.
Operate with clearly defined objectives and viable plans to achieve them. Demonstrate strong community ties and operate at the community level. Promote positive change through both the projects and their implementation process. Due date is June 1.
Wellmark Foundation – MATCH Grant: Funding focuses on sustainable initiatives targeting access to and consumption of nutritious foods (improving access to locally sourced foods, Supporting connections between local food systems and health, improving nutrition in school settings) and promoting safe and healthy environments in which to be active (providing safe, accessible venues for physical activity in a community, advancing active transportation concepts, promoting trail development) — now and for generations to come. Due date is June 5.
Wahlert Foundation: Grants are made for basic human needs, such as: emergency assistance for families, medical care for seminarians from foreign countries, domestic violence prevention, food and housing for the needy, scholarships for low-income students, crisis care for children, food vouchers, and safety upgrades for a homeless shelter. Due between June 1 and September 1.
Power of Connection Community Grant: The ITC/IRDC “Power of Connection” Community Grant Program will have three major objectives: Provide technical assistance and the potential for grant funding to rural communities seeking to build capacity, drive new projects, expand leadership opportunities and plan strategically; Make use of existing resources to provide a broad portfolio of services to communities, filling a current need for this comprehensive review; Enhance under the umbrella of IRDC the coordination and collaboration of the 100+ entities who are members of the Council.
Iowa Economic Development – COVID-19 Iowa Business Recovery Assistance: Due to the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, IEDA is gathering resources and information that may be of use to partners across Iowa.
