Thanks to the generosity of Dubuque philanthropists John and Alice Butler, Dobson Pipe Organ Builders, Ltd. has been hired to build and install a brand new, $2.4 million pipe organ in the John and Alice Butler Hall in the University of Dubuque’s Heritage Center. Construction on the organ, known as the Opus 97, is well underway in Dobson’s workshops in Lake City, IA. Installation in Dubuque is expected to begin this spring with a fall completion.
