The trend for more plant-based diets has been building for the past decade, and for many reasons. Some advocate a plant-based diet for optimum health, others promote the positive impact on the environment (less methane gas released by animals), and others tout a plant-based lifestyle as the humane way to live. All are valid reasons. Whatever the reason, plant-based diets are going to continue to trend in 2020, with more “meatless” burgers, meat-plant blends, oat milk, and soy alternatives (as soy is a top food allergen).
