A self-titled “social entrepreneur,” Hitzler is the owner of both Key City Creative Center, founded in 2017, and the nearby Central Avenue Mercantile, which opened its doors in November 2019. Both are bringing the maker movement, as well as a focus on handmade, local products, to downtown Dubuque.
