Just as our scenery offers a palette of seasonally changing colors and diverse wildlife, the people in the Driftless Area have created their own unique culture. We celebrate our individual histories, cherish our family connections, and embrace the communities in which we all play a part, creating a human ecosystem difficult to characterize with just one word.

Co-owners Kyla and Justin McComas are creating a similar multi-level biosphere with their new venue, The Driftless, located at 168 East 10th Street in the Dubuque’s downtown Millwork District. Kyla is particularly familiar with the “driftless” aesthetic, which she best describes as a “cornucopia of activity,” because of her upbringing near Viroqua, WI. Justin, a West Virginia native, has similarly grown to appreciate the area’s way of life.
