Medical Associates Clinic is pleased to announce that Stephanie Helmer, MD, is Board Certified in Thoracic Surgery by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery and the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS). Dr. Helmer has been with Medical Associates Clinic since October 2018. She received her Medical Degree from McGill University Medical School in Montreal, Quebec, and completed residencies in General Surgery and Cardiovascular Thoracic Surgery at McGill as well. She is Canadian Board certified in both specialties.
Dr. Helmer completed a Family Medicine Residency at University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, KS, and is American Board Certified in Family Medicine. She recently completed another cardiothoracic residency at UT Southwestern in Dallas, TX, where she obtained American Board Certification in Thoracic Surgery. She provides surgical treatment of diseases related to the heart, coronary arteries, chest, lungs and blood vessels.
