Excitement is building for Dubuque’s Heartland Ballet’s upcoming March program Soaring Ballet, as its parent company, the Dubuque City Youth Ballet, leaps into its 51st year. Artistic Director Marina O’Rourke will present an original interpretation of the ballet Firebird, set to music by Igor Stravinsky, while Artist-in-Residence Megan MacLeod will present original, contemporary works designed to showcase the company’s classically trained dancers.
