February is Heart Health Awareness Month. Since I lost my brother recently to a massive heart attack, this month’s awareness is personal. Heart disease is the number one killer of both men and women. One in four deaths are caused by a heart attack. Despite these statistics, there is good news. Never too late to do something good for your heart, there are some obvious actions you can and should take. You already know what most of those are: stop smoking, exercise more, and eat healthier. We can’t help you with the first two, but we can offer ideas and recipes for healthier eating and a heart-healthier life.
