Supplemental Funding for Expansion of Substance Use Disorder

The Health Resources and Services Administration has awarded Crescent Community Health Center with a $175,000 supplemental federal grant to expand treatment for substance use disorder and mental health treatment services for the community. Crescent partners with Hillcrest Family Services, Substance Abuse Services Center, Cedar Valley Recovery Services, Mercy Medical Center, local law enforcement, and other community organizations to strengthen the continuum of services for people with brain health and substance use diseases.

Crescent Community Health Center first opened its doors in October of 2006. Crescent was founded by a group of dedicated board members made up of community stakeholders who identified the need for primary medical and dental care for underserved populations. Since then, Crescent has been providing high-quality primary and preventive medical and dental care to members of the community.
