Julie Woodyard Retired from Crescent Community Health Center

Julie Woodyard, Chief Executive Officer of Crescent Community Health Center since 2008, retired from the health center effective October 18. Brooke Gomez, Chief Operating Officer, will serve as interim CEO as the board of directors conducts a search for a new CEO.

Numerous awards and accomplishments have occurred under Woodyard’s leadership including:

  • Health Center Quality Leader Award given by the Health and Human Services Administration (HRSA), 2017 and 2018.
  • Patient Safety and Clinical Pharmacy Services Collaborative Performance Award given by HRSA, 2009 and 2010.
  • Numerous grants including the recent $175,000 Grant for Substance Use Disorder and Mental Health Treatment Services.

Crescent Community Health Center first opened its doors in October of 2006. Crescent was founded by a group of dedicated board members made up of community stakeholders who identified the need for primary medical and dental care for underserved populations. Since then, Crescent has been providing high-quality primary and preventive medical and dental care to members of the community.
