Ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the revitalization of Central Avenue through Dubuque Main Street’s Build a Better Block. Dubuque Main Street filled vacant storefronts with pop-up shops, a public art installation, and had events and colorful streetscape amenities to demonstrate and celebrate the “Potential on Central.” The concept behind the Build a Better Block initiative is to take a neighborhood block in need of revitalization and demonstrate the potential the area possesses with targeted improvements.
