Dr. Marissa Michel joined Grand River Medical Group’s Pediatric Clinic on August 1. She is a Dubuque native and graduated from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. After graduation she completed her Internship and Residency at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital. When asked why she became a general pediatrician her answer was, “To help children.” She stated, “One of the best parts of my job is getting to develop relationships with my patients and their families. I’m both a mom and a doctor and I try to approach patient concerns from both of those roles. I know the most important thing to me as a parent is knowing that my child’s doctor is truly listening and understanding my concerns. My primary goals as a pediatrician are to provide solid, evidence-based advice and help parents make the best decision for their family.” To schedule your child’s appointment with Dr. Michel call our Pediatric Clinic at 563-557-5911.
