Major Chamber Events for October 2018

Wed., Oct. 10
The Dubuque Area Chamber of Commerce presents Power Hour, a program held monthly at the Grand River Center from 7:30-8:30 AM for the area’s top business and community leaders.

“Rise & Shine with the Chamber” and visit Statera Integrated Health & Wellness Solutions, 3375 Lake Ridge Dr., Dubuque from 8:00-9:00 AM. Every attendee of “Rise & Shine” has the opportunity to network with a captive audience and walk away with potential business leads.

Tues., Oct. 16
The Dubuque Area Chamber of Commerce hosts a Business After Hours (BAH) the 3rd Tuesday of each month from 5-7 PM at a different host location. For the month of October, BAH will be held at Mystique Ice Arena, 1800 Admiral Sheehy Dr., Dubuque.

Thurs., Oct. 18
The Chamber’s Monthly Membership Luncheon shares relevant and current topics and conversations with the focus of informing and engaging our members on matters that effect business. Luncheons will be held on the third Thursday of the month at the Hotel Julien Dubuque, 200 Main St., from Noon to 1 PM. You must RSVP to attend.

Tues., Oct. 23
Business Builders Breakfast will be workshops to assist in your business and professional development. They will be held the 4th Tuesday of every month at Hotel Julien Dubuque, 200 Main St., from 8:00-9:30 AM.

Wed., Oct. 24
The Dubuque Area Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a professional head shot session with Clara Meyer, owner of CLARAfied Images. The headshots will be taken in the Dubuque Area Chamber boardroom, 300 Main St., first floor. Appointments can be made from 10:00 AM-2:00 PM. Each appointment is about 15 minutes long and includes one digital image. Headshots are $25 per person and can either be paid in cash or check the day of the event. Mega Networking is one of the Dubuque Area Chamber of Commerce’s largest structured networking events. Community Connections is an program held from 8:30-9:30 AM in the Chamber Boardroom, 300 Main St., that gives nonprofit organizations a forum for communication, insight, and support. These events are open to the public. Our speaker will be Wendy Knight, VP of Institutional Effectiveness and Advancement at Northeast Iowa Community College. Wendy will be presenting on Fundraising “Vital Signs” and using Microsoft Excel to create your fundraising plan, work it, and bring your metrics to life!
