Robert “Bob” Felderman, of General Bob Photography in Dubuque, IA, has earned the Certified Drone Photographer credential from Professional Photographers of America (PPA).
Felderman earned this credential after completing an intensive program that measures his technical competence and aerial photographic proficiency. He stated that he sought the certification because, “It holds me to a higher standard, just as doctors, lawyers, realtors, and other professionals seek certifications in their industries. I wanted to show the public my qualifications to be the best drone photographer possible for my clients.”
Professional Photographers of America (PPA.com/Drones) is the leading body for certifying professional photographers. Certified Drone Photographers must be certified through the FAA, meet a requirement of 30 logged flight hours and pass a comprehensive exam before achieving their credential. Certification must be renewed on a periodic basis, ensuring continued confidence in the professionalism and safety of Certified Drone Photographers.
