620 Grandview Ave. has long been a “sweet spot” in Dubuque. Beginning as the T.J. Donahue Grocery Store in 1900, there have been many reincarnations. Sullivan’s Grocery, the Grandview Milkhouse, and the Grandview Dairy. Many patrons have entered anticipating tasty treats. Today is no different as East Mill Bakeshop & Catering is now located there.
East Mill opened its doors in January of 2015 under the operation of Chef Nick Puls and his wife, Chef Emily Puls. They had already established themselves with a bake shop in East Dubuque, as well as regular appearances at the Dubuque Farmers’ Market where they began serving at the Grandview location. While their initial offerings were artisan breads and baked goods, East Mill has expanded its menu to include lunch, catering, and now, Sunday brunch!
