The Board of Advisors is proud to announce the categories for this year’s EPIC Corporate Challenge awards. EPIC Co-Chairs Diane Ramsey, co-founder of Iowa Women Lead Change (IWLC), and Beth Townsend, Director of Iowa Workforce Development released the categories in advance of the annual data collection.
The EPIC Corporate Challenge was launched in March 2016 as a public-private partnership to spur Iowa companies to formally commit to grow and retain women at all levels of business. Iowa became the third state in the nation to bring together government, private businesses, and nonprofit organizations dedicated to working on the vital issues of recruiting, retaining, and promoting women in the workforce.
Companies are invited to self-nominate in categories ranging from Most Innovative Initiative to EPIC Engagement. In addition, EPIC will recognize three Champions of Change, male or female senior executives who are truly committed and have implemented programs to advance women in leadership roles. Currently, 60 companies have signed on to participate in the Challenge. Nominations for the EPIC Corporate Challenge Awards are due November 1.
