A grant award in the amount of $25,000.00 from the Dubuque Racing Association, Mystique Casino, and the Diamond Jo Casino will assist Hills & Dales in replacing the aging HVAC unit at the Hills & Dales Community Center. These funds will be used to help replace the current unit by purchasing a newer option with new technology and energy efficiencies.
The Community Center encompasses various programs, and supports infants/children with and without disabilities, adults with disabilities, senior citizens, staff, and volunteers. The comfort level based on the heating and cooling temperatures of the entire building is paramount for the medically fragile, young, older, and people with disabilities supported by Hills & Dales to assure success within their programs and their overall wellbeing.
Since 1996, the Duque Racing Association has donated over $344,821 to Hills & Dales for various projects and needs. The organization is appreciative of the ongoing support the DRA has provided to assist in the mission to build meaningful lives for individuals with disabilities by offering services that support the whole person and enhance community inclusion. Hills & Dales, a nonprofit organization, has been providing supports and services to individuals with disabilities in Dubuque and Northeast Iowa since 1973.
