In celebration of America’s free enterprise system, Junior Achievement of the Heartland will honor three tri-state area entrepreneurs in the Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame. These individuals are role models in the community for their entrepreneurial achievements and are looked upon as leaders in their industry. The event will take place on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Diamond Jo Casino in Dubuque, Iowa.

The 2016 Laureates are: John Gronen and Mary Mulgrew Gronen, Gronen Properties | Restoration, and Bob Hoefer, Dupaco Community Credit Union. The Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame was created in 1982 to recognize and present true success stories within the tri-state area. Laureates are selected for their entrepreneurial achievements, their adherence to the highest moral and ethical principles, as well as their demonstrated civic responsibility and community involvement.

The Gronens and Hoefer join 61 other previously inducted entrepreneurs into the tri-state area Hall of Fame.

The celebration begins at 6:00 p.m. with a cocktail reception. The dinner begins at 7:00 p.m. with the Laureate Induction Ceremony following. Tickets may be purchased through Junior Achievement of the Heartland by contacting Katie Langel at katie.langel@ja.org or (309) 277-3911. A table sponsorship is $850 and includes seating for ten guests. Individual tickets may be purchased for $75.

The presenting sponsor for the event is U.S. Bank, N.A. with Honkamp Krueger and Company as the gold sponsor. Proceeds from the event will support JA programs offered in the tri-state area. During the 2015-2016 school year, more than 3,800 K-12 students participated in JA programs offered in local schools.
