The 28th annual Community Roundtable sponsored by the Galena Rotary Club, in cooperation with Galena Gazette Publications, will be held Wednesday, January 13, 2016, at Eagle Ridge Resort & Spa.
Anyone who owns a computer and/or other digital devices, such as a tablet or smart phone, will want to attend this roundtable. Current plans call for professionals in the field of cyber security to present important information you need to know. Three presentations pin-pointing specific users are to be made:
- The Big Picture – cyber security on a global and national basis. What’s happening today, what’s being done now and in the future.
- Large & Small Businesses – What’s at risk and what possible actions can be taken to protect your business and customers/clients.
- The Individual User – Identifying the risks and what you can do to protect yourself and your information from computer fraud and identity fraud.
After each presentation, questions from the floor will be entertained.
Doors open 12:30 p.m. with the event beginning at 1:00 p.m. and ending at 5:00 p.m. Cost for the event is $25 if you pre-register or $30 at the door. Preregistration forms will be available at most Jo Daviess county banks and the Galena Gazette in early December. Preregistration forms will also be available on the Galena Rotary website www.galenarotary.org. Sign up now as preregistration ends January 6, 2016.
