Crescent Community Health Center Receives Grant from Black Hills Energy

Crescent Community Health Center has been awarded a $20,000 grant by the Black Hills Corporation Foundation. The generous support will assist Crescent in expansion efforts, as they begin to renovate a new building.

In 2017 Crescent served a record number of patients at 6,437, comprising over 18,000 clinic visits. By 2021 Crescent is forecasting to serve 8,000 patients annually. In accordance with Crescent’s mission to provide high-quality care for all, they have begun the process to develop and move to larger space within the neighborhood. In late 2018 or early 2019, Crescent will begin a formal capital campaign to assist in these efforts to ensure no patient is left without access to care in a timely manner.

Crescent Community Health Center first opened its doors in October of 2006. Crescent was founded by a group of dedicated board members made up of community stakeholders who identified the need for primary medical and dental care for underserved populations. Since then, Crescent has been providing high-quality primary and preventive medical and dental care to members of the community.
