Dubuque’s historic Eagle Point Park at 2601 Shiras Ave. is more than just a local treasure. The 164-acre park located on the bluff high above the Mississippi River has also been recognized as a national treasure with its November 27, 2017, listing on the National Register of Historic Places. Inclusion on the national listing is more than just an honor, it opens the doors to several national and state funding sources that will help preserve and improve Dubuque’s already impressive park.
