Now entering its seventh year, the Julien Dubuque International Film Festival has grown to become a multi-day event that screens roughly 100 films; attracts those previously mentioned “creative types” including actors, directors, producers, and film journalists; and has established Dubuque as a destination for movie buffs from across the country.

The festival is scheduled for April 26-29, with some preliminary events earlier that week. Participating venues are Five Flags, Dubuque Art Museum, The Venue, Phoenix Theaters, and the National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium, with a couple more locations being finalized. Once again, the Hotel Julien serves as festival headquarters.
