Wine Hack

“There is a communion of more than our bodies when bread is broken and wine drunk.” –M.F.K. Fisher

If I asked you what kind of wine you liked, what would you tell me? Or, when you walk into a wine shop, how do you describe to the attendant what it is you are seeking? Do you say, “I like a fruit forward, jammy red,” or maybe you say, “I’m looking for a dry white to go with halibut”? Not everyone uses the same words to describe why they like certain wines and many people aren’t even sure why they enjoy the wines they drink. It can be a pretty confusing wine world we live in, but a recent book, Wine Hack, written by Jeffrey Schiller, may help end this confusion.
