The Academic and Career Advising Center at UW-Platteville is coordinating a new internship event in collaboration with the Platteville Area Industrial Development Corporation (PAIDC), the Platteville Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Dubuque Development Corporation, and the Dubuque Chamber of Commerce on March 1, 2017 from 3:00-7:00 p.m. in Velzy Commons.
The purpose of the Tri-State Stay Local Internship Day is to engage more area employers in providing internship and co-op opportunities, thereby encouraging students to stay in the tri-state region after graduation. The event will include business networking and internship interviews with the objective that qualified student attendees secure a Summer 2017 internship at the event. The event will include a variety of employers from many different industries.
There is no charge for students to participate in the Tri-State Stay Local Internship Day. Participating employers will be charged a minimal registration fee of $50.00.
