Dubuque Symphony Orchestra’s 4th Annual Pursuit of the Podium

The Dubuque Symphony Orchestra (DSO) announces its fourth annual Pursuit of the Podium. Five local individuals have been chosen to compete in this year’s fundraiser. The contestant that raises the most money on behalf of the DSO between February 10 and April 24 will conduct one piece at the free Summer Melodies concert at the Dubuque Arboretum on Sunday, June 25, 2017.

Contestants include Teresa Eckhart MD, Dubuque Obstetrics and Gynecology; “General Bob” Felderman, Photographer, Realtor, Appraiser, retired Army Brigadier General, Pilot; Lynn H. “Tut” Fuller, M.D. and Market President, Dubuque Bank and Trust Company; Harriet Heitzman, community volunteer and avid supporter of the Dubuque Symphony since its beginnings; and Gary Olsen, artist. The Pursuit of the Podium winner and total amount raised will be announced at the final classics concert of the 2016-17 season: April 29-30 at Five Flags Theater.

Since Pursuit of the Podium was first introduced during the 2012-2013 season, more than $67,000 has been raised.
