“This year’s Grand Tastings promise to be more fun-filled with dozens of new wines open to taste! From Albarino to Zinfandel, these tastings have it all,” said event sponsor Tim Althaus, owner of Family Beer & Liquor located in East Dubuque, IL. Fried Green Tomatoes and Galena Cellars are co-sponsors of the event.
Forty-four stations will be set up around the convention center with each station featuring eight different wines. The wines featured are from all over the world: California, Oregon, France, Spain, Argentina, Italy, and many more. Some local and Midwestern wineries will also be touting their wares, including Galena Cellars, Rocky Waters Vineyard and Winery (Hanover, IL), Park Farm Winery (Bankston, IA), Massbach Ridge Winery (Galena and Elizabeth, IL), Stone Cliff Winery (Dubuque, IA), St. James Winery (St. James, MO), and Spurgeon Winery (Highland, WI). Galena’s own Blaum Bros. Distilling Co. will also be presenting their exceptional vodka, gin, and bourbon and the Galena Brewing Co. will be featuring some of its craft beers.
